Hanna Instruments FC2020 is a pH Edge electrode made for the dairy industry. The FC2020 electrode to be used exclusively with the HI2020 Edge hybrid meter. Ideal for pH measurements in samples e.g. cheese, milk and yoghurt etc. Data e.g. sensor type, ID and calibration information is stored on a built-in microchip. This data is automatically retrieved by the Edge meter once the electrode is plugged in. The FC2020 has stored pH calibration information e.g. calibrated buffers, date and time etc.
Benefits
- PVDF body
- Open junction reference
- Conical glass tip
- 3.5 mm connector
- Easy to use
The FC2020 features a conical glass tip to allow easy penetration into solids, semi-solids and emulsions. A direct measurement can be taken in cheese, yoghurt and milk. To prevent the clogging, this electrode has an open junction reference. Clogging can impede the measurement circuit between the internal reference and the indicating glass electrode. This can cause a slower response time, frequent electrode replacement and erratic readings.
