Hanna HI-1053B is a pH electrode for use with semi-solids. This electrode is a glass bodied refillable single junction with a spear tip. It is ideal for fats or creams, soil samples, semi-solid products, low conductivity samples and emulsions.
Benefits
- Recommended operating temperature: -5 to 70℃
- pH range: pH: 0 to 12
- Glass body material
- Supplied with BNC connector
- Supplied with 1m cable
- Suitable for pH measurement
The HI-1053B is supplied with a BNC connector and a 1m cable. The BNC is the most commonly used connector types in pH meters and electrodes.
Take care of your electrode:
- You should keep your electrode hydrated so it won't dry out resulting in drifting pH values, incorrect measurements and slow response times
- Rinse, do not wipe your electrode because it can produce a static charge that interferes with the pH reading
- Calibrate often for best accuracy
- Pick the right electrode for your sample
- Inspect your electrode because, over time, the sensing portion of the glass becomes less responsive and will eventually fail. If the electrode is damaged from us, it will cause erroneous readings
- Open or loosen the fill hole cap because a closed electrode fill hole may lead to slower stabilisation times
- Store your electrode in storage solution
- Clean your electrode regularly because deposits can form on the electrode during use, coating the sensing glass
- Keep the electrolyte level full because low electrolyte levels may cause erratic readings
