DeLaval Cell Counter DCC offers you a professional tool for mastitis diagnostics. With the DeLaval Cell Counter DCC you can test and monitor the somatic cell count directly on the farm and have the result in under a minute.
The somatic cell count is one of the most important milk quality indicators. The focus on this parameter is growing constantly around the world, because milk with a high somatic cell count means lower milk quality. As an example, to produce cheese you must have milk with a low cell count.
Benefits
Treatment at an early stage
Quick recovery and less production loss
Efficient control of mastitis
Less risk of penalties or loss of bonus payment
Take control of the mastitis levels by conducting an accurate, instant, on farm somatic cell count test on any cow or quarter. The direct somatic cell count pinpoints the need for bacteriological tests, which helps avoids unnecessary testing and associated costs.
The DeLaval Cell Counter DCC accurately measure your herd, cow or cow quarter somatic cell count. This instrument counts the somatic cells optically and automatically. A digital camera takes a picture of the somatic cells' nuclei, which is stained in the cassette with a DNA specific fluorescent reagent and counts the cells' nuclei one by one.
Dry cow management
Monitor which cow or quarter that needs treatment at drying off
Less use and cost of antibiotics
Efficient follow-up of fresh cow udder health
Early detection of infected cows for relevant treatment
Clear signal when to send milk to the tank
Immediate follow-up of mastitis treated cows
Clear signal if the cow is successfully treated
Clear signal when to send milk to the tank
DeLaval Cell Counter DCC makes it possible to detect mastitis infection at an early stage, when it is easy and cost effective to treat it and before it spreads within the herd infecting other cows. Herds with mastitis under control will have a bulk tank somatic cell count below 100 000 cells/ml milk.
DeLaval Cell Counter DCC is a portable instrument and does not require external power, so you can use it whenever and wherever you choose. The start-up takes just a few seconds. To test, just suck up a small amount of milk into the cassette and insert it into the DCC. The sample result shows clearly as cells/ml milk on the display, just 45 seconds after the cassette is inserted.

The Fluorophos Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) Test System is the industry standard and is extensively used by regulatory authorities. ALP testing provides an invaluable end-product test. The EU requires that any other method considered for use be validated against the fluorimetric method and has lowered the statutory level for ALP in pasteurized milk from 500 to 350 mU/L.
The Funke Gerber LactoFlash is an accurate, reliable instrument for rapid analysis of the main constituents of milk. It directly measures Fat and S.N.F. (Solid Non Fat) and then calculates Density, Protein, Lactose and Freezing Point.
Designed for the future, flexible: Fixed time measurement, plateau and maximum search functions. You can freely program all relevant parameters. The CryoStar can also be set to conform with all national and international standards (including future ones).
Easy to use: The operation is menu guided on the touch screen in the language of your choice. German and English are currently available.
Sure Performance: The reliable cooling system ensures rapid operational readiness even in high-temperature environments (max. approx. 34℃).
Fast: Depending on actual setting used, up to 40 samples can be measured per hour.
Versatile: The CryoStar is equipped with a serial connection for standard printers und an USB port for connections to a PC. Measured values can be saved to a USB-drive for further processing.
