The Air Quality Guardian portable monitor is designed specifically to measure levels of carbon dioxide (CO2), relative humidity (RH) and temperature (temp) in your workplace. This Analox unit helps you determine the level of ventilation in your area. Good ventilation in a busy area will have levels of approximately 400-800ppm (parts per million) CO2. If you get levels below this, it could mean you are over-ventilating and wasting energy. However, if your levels are above this then you need to ventilate the room, (see the links to the HSE and Imperial College articles further down the page).

Monitoring the levels of CO2 can aid the health and wellbeing of those in the area. The Air Quality Guardian features a traffic light system to show when fresh air is needed. Research has shown that ventilating helps reduce the risk of a virus such as COVID-19 spreading. A clean air environment also strengthens the immune system and boosts productivity.
