The test kit contains 10 ready to use reagent vials. Each vial contains 3.0 ng or 5 x10-12 moles of ATP and 1 mg of protein (Bovine Serum Albumin). A pre-moistened swab device is used to swab the ATP/Protein pellet and interior of the 3M Clean-Trace™ Surface Positive Control vial. Clean-Trace™ Surface devices are then activated and measured as per the device instructions.
The signal obtained should be above a specified level, which indicates that both the reagents and (in the case of the ATP tests) instrument are operating correctly.

Positive controls are used in conjunction with the 3M Clean-Trace™ Hygiene Monitoring System, to assess that both reagents and instruments (if required) are operating satisfactorily and have been stored and used correctly.
