The 3M Bovine Total Milk Protein Rapid Kit is intended for screening for the presence of bovine total milk proteins in clean-in-place (CIP) final rinse water, environmental swab samples, food ingredients and processed food products. The 3M Bovine Total Milk Protein Rapid Kit utilizes a lateral flow device (LFD) that is an immunochromatographic test method utilizing a poly-clonal antibody which is specific for the detection of bovine milk proteins.
Benefits
Bovine Total Milk Protein Threshold: 3 ppm
Results visible at 11 - ± 1 minute after application of the sample.
Rapid, qualitative immunochromatographic lateral flow test cartridges designed for the detection of allergenic food proteins.
Designed to detect both processed and unprocessed allergen proteins.
Test can accommodate environmental swab, CIP rinse water and food samples.
25 tests per box
3M's signature hook line feature can alert you to a possible false negative due to high amounts of the target protein in a sample. This feature can increase confidence in your allergen testing results.
Positive results are visualized by the presence of three lines; a test line, a hook line and a control line, when milk protein is present at or above 3 ppm for food raw ingredients, processed food products and CIP or rinse water solution, and at above 2.5 ‚Äö√†√∂‚àö√±‚àö‚ↂÄö√†¥g/mL per 100 cm2 for surfaces. These limits may vary depending on the matrix. Samples containing more than 3% milk may result in an invalid test which will be noticed by the absence of the hook line and/or test line.
The dynamic range of the 3M Bovine Total Milk Protein Rapid Kit has been shown to be 1.25 ppm and 100,000 ppm from bovine milk. The upper limit of detection has been shown to be approximately 1.5 mg/mL of NISTa 1549 in distilled water.
